What is it about?
MKTD, or Dayasari Tionghua Cultural Week in English is an annual highlighted event of
Fifth Residential College (Dayasari College), University of Malaya. We are partnering with the Kong Zi Institute of the University of Malaya, which is part of the global CI network established by Hanban (Beijing) and Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU). This year, we have successfully scaled this former residential-college-level project to the university level due to its previous successes, thereby allowing more people in the campus to rejoice in this event, and at the same time have a deeper understanding of Chinese traditional cultures.
Who Should Join?
Public
Expected Learning Outcome
We aimed to promote Chinese culture to the society, regardless of everything.
Additional Notes/Links
This event comprised exhibitions about the traditional Chinese folk art and culture, as well as a series of cultural related games and competition.
This year, due to covid restriction, we are not able to carry out our grand cultural night physically which we previously held every year. As a replacement, we work on shooting a series of short videos which will bring knowledge about Chinese culture to the public through our social media
At the end of our event, we will publicise the results of our event, as well as the photos and videos taken over the course of our event, as a sign of appreciation to the major sponsors of our event. As we are a non-profit project, we will ensure that everything is transparent, so that those who needs help will be able to get it.
