What is it about?
Mechanical Week is part of the long list of annual spearhead events organized by IMechE University of Malaya Student Chapter. Year 2022 features the second installment of Mechanical Week through MechWeek 2022’ abbreviated from Mechanical Week 2022. Similar to the previous session, MechWeek 2022 aims to expose all University of Malaya mechanical engineering students to the possibilities of a career in this ever-changing field. As mechanical engineering consists of many branches in wide arrays of industry, we are the bridge that connects the knowledge with regards to those branches to students. Additionally we aim to accomplish this feat as much as possible to maximize the opportunity for them to select, prepare and embrace their future career. We are providing a marketing and recruitment platform for engineering-based companies to future employees or interns from mechanical engineering student University of Malaya. During Career Fair Exhibition, students are able to submit their resumes to desired companies they are interested in joining. In addition, MechWeek 2022 will also feature career and industrial talk consisting arrays of industry leaders from multi-disciplinary engineering background. MechWeek2022 aims to broaden the knowledge of students through diversification in learning.
Who Should Join?
1. Platform to allow the students to nurture their professional relationships via internship and employability opportunities.
2. Spreading knowledge on multiple engineering fields representing future industrial prospects allowing the students to explore and expand the possibilities of their career development from early on.
3. To promote social integration and the importance of teamwork among students via organized events.
